Child Counseling
Many times children suffer from emotional problems that go unnoticed or get overlooked by adults. If your child seems isolated, irritable, easily distracted, appears anxious or hyper, is underachieving in school, cries easily, is defiant, does not listen when spoken to, is bullied or unable to make friends easily he/she may benefit from child therapy.  It is important to address these issues early on in order to help your child be successful as measured through school performance, self image, and ability to interact appropriately with family and peers.

Family Counseling
Family therapy strives to improve the interactions and patterns of communication that exists within the family in order to increase the family’s ability to resolve conflict.  In this mode of counseling the client is “the family” and not the individuals in the family therefore the goal is to improve family dynamics by focusing on the family as a whole.  Family strengths are used to help improve the manner in which conflicts and problems are handled as well as to help the family develop new strategies and patterns to improve connections between family members that will be life lasting.

Substance Abuse Assessment and Treatment
Substance abuse is the overuse of mind altering substances which affect many important areas of a child's life both in school and at home.  At Trinity CMHC we provide assessment and treatment to individuals abusing mind altering substances by helping them acquire more effective coping skills to lead an addiction free lifestyle.
